WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. — Crypton Inc. has signed a licensing agreement with Richloom Fabrics Group to produce Crypton fabrics in Hangzhou, China, the company said.

Richloom also will become a distributor for Crypton fabrics in Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

According to Crypton, until now companies manufacturing products in China were not able to easily access Crypton fabrics. Shipping U.S.-made fabrics to China was costly and time-consuming. The partnership with Richloom will make the fabrics easy to obtain for manufacturers in China, Europe and the Middle East, Crypton said.

"This licensing agreement allows Crypton to meet the growing global demand for Crypton high-performance fabrics, and it represents a significant growth opportunity for our customers and business partners," said Randy Rubin, co-founder of Crypton. "The decision to select Richloom was based on the company's years of experience and because it was best suited to incorporate Crypton's proprietary manufacturing processes.
